Small's: your favorite neighborhood corner bar and rock venue all in one.
Located in the wonderful city of Hamtramck, nested in the
heart of Detroit, MI,
Small's is the area's premiere independent music venue.
Our front room is home to an art deco-era bar stocked with more than 50 beers
including local and national craft labels, European brands and your favorite
lawnmower beer in cold 24 oz. cans. Down the hall in our live room,
Small's hosts national and local bands and DJs several nights a week.

Small's was established in 1999. Our building, originally a bank, dates back to 1923.
Small's has been featured in Maxim, Travel and Leisure, Guitar World and
other national outlets.
Locally we've been named "Best Live Music Bar"
twice by MetroMix, "Best Bar on Paczki Day" three times by Real Detroit Weekly
and "Best Sound and Lights" and "Best Venue Website" by Metro Times.

Jozef Van Wissem is a Dutch minimalist composer and lutenist
known for his hypnotic, meditative style that blends Renaissance lute music with contemporary experimental and ambient sounds.
He has released numerous solo and collaborative albums, including work with filmmaker Jim Jarmusch. His music, often characterized by repetitive structures and subtle variations, has been featured in
film soundtracks, most notably Only Lovers Left Alive (2013), for
which he won the Cannes Soundtrack Award.
Van Wissem’s unique approach to the lute and his avant-garde
compositions have earned him a dedicated following in both
classical and experimental music circles.

breakneck speed and vintage sound will return you to 1977.
This show will not only showcase three Ramones Tributes,
it will also display some of the area’s best punk rock groups.

After their worldwide success with their album 'Tainted' and their
often-sold-out club concerts in America and Europe, the post-punk
legends from Berlin present a new studio album.
The new album and the tour are titled "BLACK SWAN", the term
for an unexpected event, which in retrospect is justified as if one
could have prepared for it.
With their last album and accompanying tour,
Mic Jogwer (vocals, guitar), Luca Sammuri (bass) and
Paul Richter (drums) have cleared pretty much everything you
could wish for as a band. Album of the Year at Byte FM,
best of 2021 at Post Punk Com, singles at number 1 in the
German Alternative Charts as well as the Indie Disco Top 40,
excellent reviews in the worldwide music press and very well
attended, if not sold-out club concerts from Los Angeles to Yerevan..
